F27 Flirting with Air: Reading and Writing about Birds
F-27 Cost: $15

Instructors Derek Sheffield and Cynthia Neely. The connection between poetry and birds is very old. In fact, many of the first ornithologists were poets who recorded ecological data in their lines of verse. In this special session, we will share close readings of some contemporary poems that evoke and explore our feathered cousins through language, including poems from the anthology illustrated by David Sibley, Bright Wings, and then we will begin writ ing our own. Group Limit 12.
